This is my 1st high end fountain pen. I think to help other people rate my experience, I will rate 4 categories that stand out about fountain pens in my opinion. The rating will be from 1-5.
A. (4) style- the lines of the pen have a soft curvature along the length and there is great synergy between the cap and the rest of the pen. The silver rings accent the resin and segment the pen beautifully. The color resin is not the same as the picture advertise with a predominant deep navy blue with glitter, white, and green splattered through out. I was not expecting so much of the dark blue, which changed the pen look to me.
B. (5) craftmanship- The filling mechanism works well but it hard to appreciate if the pen got full of ink or air. How can this be solved? I don't know how without compromising the integrity of the style. The cap locking mechanism is secure and simple to maneuver with one hand. Over all the pen does as it was designed.
C. (4) nib- I choose the "M" nib it writes very wet (bold lettering style) compared to other pens I have used and smooth on paper. I would probably choose a "F" next time.
D. (5) writing- The writing experience is everything I expected. I love to use this pen. It is smooth on paper, the ink distributed evenly, and make you want to hand write more.
